Who do you know seeking eternal truths?

Our 2008, VBS, 5-6th grade prayer:
"Thank You God for being our outrigger, our support, for we are so small and YOUR OCEAN is SO GREAT...
"

 Slide 3

Who do you know willing to use New Technology to Grow in Christ?

Who do you know who would like to Attend A Bible Study Without Leaving Home?

Tired? Out of town? Out of state?
         (We can still be together!)

  Slide 4
(from Oswald Chambers)

Who do you know that does not welcome Jesus?

Schools, Government, Shopping Centers, etc. do not even have room for Christmas?

Read the note from Gary below slide 34.

  Slide 5

Who do you know that entertains a low view of God?

A low view of God makes the Bible & the Gospel meaningless.

The Gospel is the story of how Jesus & the cross can restore our relationship with the Perfect & Holy God! The One God! The only God!

Our Goal is to "Come to" Jesus!

Our Goal is Relationship, Closeness, & Oneness with God...

Our Goal is to remain forever thankful for all that God does for us!
(Psalms 50, 116...)

  Slide6

  Slide 7

Who do you know that recognizes the power of God?

A God of Endless Wisdom & Power!   Yet, His Love 4 us is Immense!

   Slide 8

Who do you know that recognizes that God is the Question & The Answer?

  Slide 9

Who do You know that lives their lifes, pretending that evil does not exist?
(until a disaster...)

Evil & Deception clearly exist in this world!

Evil exists in us when we are separated from God...

"Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." Matthew 5:44

  Slide 10

Who do you know that lives their life for
 God & His Goodness?

The cross of Christ is that bridge that instrument that bridges the gap between evil and GOD'S GOODNESS!

The cross is unique to Christianity. It is where evil meets God's Absolute Goodness!

  Slide 11

Who do you know that thinks being good is enough?

I cannot enter His kingdom by virtue of my goodness--I can only enter as a poor & needy beggar...

There are none that are good... (Psalms 14:1, 53:1)

"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," (Romans 3:23)    (1 John 1:8-10 is powerful...)

Atonement = the doctrine concerning the reconciliation of God and humankind, especially as accomplished through the life, suffering, and death and resurrection of Christ Jesus.

           Read 2 Corinthians 1:9  WOW!

  Slide 12

We must commit, submit, & yield our lives to God through Jesus!

Outside of the resurrection of Jesus Christ there is no other hope for mankind!

Believe + Receive = Become   (John 1:12)
(believe in Jesus and that God raised Him from the dead)
(receive Him as Lord/Master of your life)
(become children of God!)

The cross is a powerful statement of the love of God.
             (1 cross + 4 nails = 4given)

Truth is Exclusive by its very nature!

One way to a relationship with God. If God gave us a thousand ways, we would want 1,001...

  Slide 13

Mark 8:34
And He summoned the crowd with His disciples, and said to them, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.

 How about Matthew 10:38-39???

What is sad?

Sad is leaving Jesus out of Christmas and Easter. Sad is leaving God out of children’s lives. In California, where I teach, many schools now call Christmas vacation the "Winter Break" and Easter vacation the "Spring Break." Prayer and Scripture have been taken out of schools, and now the Pledge of Allegiance may be declared unconstitutional because of the phrase "One Nation Under God." Yes, this is sad. We do not welcome God into our schools or workplace and then wonder where He is when disaster strikes...

Redemption in and through Jesus is ultimately man's only true reality! (One can spend days thinking about this statement...)

At Ukiah High School, the last day of school before Christmas vacation (12/19/2003) the following announcement was given to our school: "Christmas in the U.S. embraces popular customs from around the world every ethnic group has its place in our society and has its own traditions. Some examples are: Christmas trees from Germany, the poinsettia from Mexico, holly and mistletoe from England, posada and piņatas from Latin American countries, and St. Nicholas (Santa Claus) from Holland. Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish Festival of Lights begins on December 20th this year. It commemorates the victory of the Maccabees over the Syrians and the relighting of the temple in Jerusalem. During Hanukkah, gifts are exchanged and contributions are made to the poor. Every evening one additional candle is lit on the Menorah until 8-lighted candles stand together."

Jesus doesn't even qualify to be mentioned as part of this "popular custom" or "tradition." The King of Kings and Lord of Lords is not even mentioned in relation to His birthday!

Can you solve the "X-mas" equation?  (X = Jesus!)
Luke 18:1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.

How do we honor God in the midst of a pagan culture that worships everything but the one true God?

Christianity, A Contradiction to the World

2 Corinthians 6:10  …sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.

                                                                        *******************************

Wow!

Without God

we become fools (Psalm 14:1, 53:1)

of a passing world

-slaves to self,

sin and death!

Jesus came out of eternity and into time to rescue His human brethren & make the poor eternally rich---because He loves us!

Four of our Big Football Camp Questions???
1. We do not have to beg you to spend 5 minutes with your girlfriend.
What about 5 minutes everyday in God's Word with the Almighty???
2. We have to bow our heads and close our eyes to acknowledge the
Lordship of Jesus in our lives and our need to be warriors for Him.
We never bow our heads to acknowledge our need to be warriors in
football. It would be an insult. Is not the adventure and fight in our
walk with God much more valiant and exciting???
3. Do we recognize the stupidity of not recognizing God, His sovereignty,
and His perfect wisdom??? "The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.'"
 Psalm 14
4. Why do we take God for granted??? During every camp at Pi Ranch we find
an apple in the trash with only one bite out of it, or we find a soda left on the
deck with one drink out of it. This happens because we often do not have to sweat
or work for the simple things we take for granted like food, drink, and Jesus!
With God, like a beautiful golden apple, are we satisfied with just one bite?

Wow!
