Do we need to listen and/or heed advice at times?

A fool finds no pleasure in understanding but delights in airing his own opinions.

Proverbs 1:5-6
let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance-
for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise.

Honest differences of opinion and debate should not create disunity. Yes, there are those to whom we listen and not heed
and there are times to not even bother listening. However, most of us can use a little work in the area of listening.
