| HEIDI CAVENDER/Walter: Ukiah High School Graduate! One of
Mendocino College's best ever runners! Broke some Junior College Course Records in Northern California. 3rd in California State Championships in the 1500 meter race. 1st in Conference in the 800 m and the 1500 m. 1st in Northern California in the 1500 m. Scholarship runner in track and cross country for Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee! Heidi was a cheerleader for Pop Warner Football and a leader on Ukiah High School's first Dance Team. Our Princess!

| MICHAEL NORDYKE: Ukiah High School Graduate! Leading starter for Ukiah High School's only North Coast Section Championship Football Team. Mike's senior year he was told by a coach that he was "too small" to play Varsity Football. He played and started every game throughout the season--BOTH WAYS! Mike was the varsity MVP his senior year. He was a top receiver for Mendocino College & received a scholarship to play for Bemidji State. Mike is a tenacious leader with a heart the size of a mountain!!! He was recruited by the Minnesota Vikings to return punts and kickoffs. He may decide to play arena football or Canadian football! Wow! |

| ADAM AIKMAN: Ukiah High School Graduate! Present Ukiah High School Head Wrestling Coach, following in the shoes of his father, Jerry Aikman, who served as a wrestling coach at Ukiah High School for over 20 years! Adam was a North Coast Section runner-up, losing only to the eventual State Champion that year. Adam wrestled and played football at Santa Rosa Junior College. He also wrestled in the Marine Corps and at Humboldt State University! One of the finest student/athletes I have ever worked with! |

Democrat 2002 All-Empire Large School Athlete of the Year! Outstanding 4.0 Student! 3 Year
Starter as a Quarterback! Led his Team to Ukiah's only H.S. North Coast Section Football
Championship! Outstanding football, basketball, and baseball player! BFS All American
status in Vertical Jump (39 inches) and the Power Clean! One of the greatest students I
have ever worked with! Tommy is presently playing baseball at Masters
College. |

Micah Cavender:
Deep Valley Christian High
School Graduate! He is one of Deep Valley's all time great
football players. Micah was also involved in baseball, basketball,
wrestling, and track. He was known as a "HITTER!" He is currently in the
US Navy stationed in Florida and married to Eva! |
TODD SCHAPMIRE: Ukiah High School Graduate! One of
Ukiah High School's great student athletes! Todd was the captain of his State Championship
Ice Hockey Team his senior year in high school. He played ice hockey for Long
Beach State University!

MIKE & BOBBY CLARK: Ukiah High School Graduates! Two of
Ukiah High School's greatest athletes! Both are North Coast Section Champions in
Wrestling! Both are first team all league selections for football. Bobby, who is about 12
years younger than Mike, will follow in his brothers footsteps and compete in football and
wrestling for the University of California, Davis! Both brothers were "Athletes of
the Year for Ukiah High School"! Bobby placed fourth in the CIF State Wrestling
Championships in 2002. Bobby may be the only student/athlete in the history of Ukiah High
School to make 1st Team All Redwood Empire as an offensive lineman and as a defensive
lineman! Mike was an awesome All League 1st team middle linebacker!

Justin now owns Freedom Skateboard Shop in Ukiah, a business that continually serves our youth. Nick is working right now and might go back to college to wrestle! |

| Dan Myers: Ukiah High School Graduate! One of Ukiah's best math students ever! Finished Trigonometry/Pre-calculus course independently over Christmas break his junior year and caught up with the Calculus Class this same year. Highest score of 5 on the AB & BC Calculus Advanced Placement Examinations. Devoted to God!!! Math major at UC Davis! Dan has even just finished doing some high school teaching (mathematics) at a high school in Sacramento. A wonderful student! |

| BOB TAYLOR: Ukiah High School Teacher! Probably the best teacher at Ukiah High School for over 20 years and UHS has some "awesome" teachers. Many students graduate from Ukiah High and major in Spanish because of this man. A true friend. Mr. Taylor has had 3 wonderful children graduate from Ukiah High School! |
| JUSTIN BUTLER: Ukiah High School Graduate! Leading two way starter for Ukiah High School's only North Coast Section Championship Football Team. Mr. Butler was an incredible offensive/defensive lineman. Justin was very coachable and he had a wonderful work ethic! This young man has a wonderful attitude and was one of Mendocino Colleges top football players. He earned a scholarship to Hofstra University. |
| NATE GARNARO: Ukiah High School Graduate! Leading starter for Ukiah High School's only North Coast Section Championship Football Team. John was another player "too small" to play on the offensive line. He played and he started every game throughout the playoffs. Nate led his team with tenacity and emotion! |
| RYAN BALETTO: Ukiah High School Graduate! Leading two way starter for Ukiah High School's only North Coast Section Championship Football Team. Mr. Baletto was an incredible offensive/defensive lineman. Ryan played like.....and had the eyes of a madman! Ryan also was one of the top wrestlers in the North Coast Section his senior year. Ryan is presently wrestling in college. |

| KEVIN McCAY: Ukiah High School Graduate! Leading 2-way starter for Ukiah High School's only North Coast Section Championship Football Team. He started every game and led his team with intelligence and heart! Kevin's intelligence on defense saved us many times. He had true "field sense". Kevin was also our "go-to-man" on offense whenever we needed to pass the ball. A great student! |
TRACY CAVENDER: Norte
Vista High School Graduate (1976)! All League recognition in football &
basketball! A true motivator as a coach. He is one of Norte Vista's all time great
athletes. He was selected as the Riverside County Prep Player of the Year as a quarterback
and this same year was selected as a Southern Section 1st Team All Section Defensive
Player as a Cornerback! He broke the Southern Section record held by the famous Sonny
Jergensen for most assists per game in high school basketball. This man was an awesome
softball player! Tracy is also my favorite brother! Tracy and
Kim!  |
JOANNE INMAN:
An exceptional artist! She does some of the best ART I have ever
seen! Mrs. Inman also writes beautiful poetry and is truly a genius!  |

| DENNIS KNAPP: Ukiah High School Student! Leader on Ukiah High School's North Coast Section Championship Wrestling Team. Dennis died his senior year in an automobile accident. This same year, Dennis was ranked #1 in the state of California in wrestling. He was a North Coast Section Champion and unscored upon until the final second of his championship match when he let go of his opponent as the crowd counted a little faster than the clock! A relentless competitor! |

| CHOPPER CUPP: Ukiah High School graduate! Leader on Ukiah High School's 1st North Coast Section Championship Wrestling Team. Chopper placed 3rd in the California State Championships, losing only to Lawrence Jackson a three time state champion. This young North Coast Section Champion was the starter for many great wrestlers to come out of Ukiah High School! |
| KRYSTAL McKAY: Ukiah High School Graduate! Leading student/athlete at Ukiah High School! Krystal was an outstanding soccer player, basketball player and softball player. She is one of the finest young people I have ever had in class! |
WHITNEY (GARCIA) HENDERSON:
Ukiah High School Graduate!
Whitney completed the world
famous Ironman Contest on the big island of Hawaii which included a 24
mile open water swim in the Pacific, then a 112 mile bike ride, followed
by a 26.2 mile run.

"Leviathan!" Great athlete! 2x All American in the Bench Press, the
Parallel Squat, and the Deadlift. In 2002-3 this young man and I worked out together while
he lost 50+ pounds to make the 275 lb. weight class for wrestling for the first time in 3
years! He qualified for the California State Championships! |
