Letter about Coach Beau's Efforts

To Whom It May Concern:

Through the agency of The Lord’s Gym South Sacramento, Beau has recently put together
2 basketball teams from 20 high school students to participate in AAU Tournaments and
Extreme Hoops on the weekends. These young people, coming from low income families,
are unable to pay for their tournament expenses and are forced to find their own way to
practices and games. Most of them have zero parental support.

Entry fee’s for tournaments are between $200 - $250 per tournament, uniforms for
the team will cost about $500 and there are travel expenses these young people cannot afford.

These young South Sac inner city kids are faced everyday with gang involvement, drug use,

and violence.  Participating with Lord’s Gym South Sac in these basketball games helps bring

them out of that destructive environment and into a positive one.

We are asking for your help in supporting this team of players.  Here’s how you can help. 
You can sponsor the cost of their uniforms, sponsor tournament fees, or support the team
by helping with travel/food expenses.  Beau is in great need for gas money, car insurance

costs, etc. Any donation is greatly appreciated.

The South Sac Lord's Gym works with 100's of the Sacramento youth. They have open gym 2 days
each week; they set up boxing tournaments; they give out free backpacks with school supplies;

they have an open music studio; they have turf-n-battles or hip-hop battles, and more.
